One of a kinds

September 26th, 2008

So before the rail jam I posted a few pics of us laying up boards. We were making them with graphics we had printed last year, both are one of a kinds. The two graphics are the I Heart Snow logo, which went to Ian at IHS as a thank you for spreadin the word and helping us test boards last year. The other was done by Scotty, and is based on the Boston landmark Citgo sign (hopefully you could tell). We hope someday we can make this a production board but right now the way its printed isnt feasible for more than a few. We gave that board to Geno, the guy who puts the ‘I’ in ‘Team’ for us, since he’s our only rider but its cool, and he killed it at the rail jam.

btw, we need to expand the Bean team so if anyone is interested send some video to mike@beansnowboarding.com. The only requirement is that you be pretty close to Boston.

Hope to see everyone at the rail jam at wachusset on October 11th.

Bean/Underground Rail Jam

September 23rd, 2008

Thanks to everybody who came out to the rail jam on Saturday. Big ups to Underground snowboard shop, and to the other companies who represented, especially Capture Skateboards, I Heart Snow Productions, Upper Playground, Back East Designs, and Good Life.

We were really happy to get to talk to everybody, and were amazed by how many people showed up for our first big event.

Check out some pics below- and the freshiest freshness of the season from I Heart Snow.

Rail jam Pic

September 22nd, 2008

Hi Everyone,
Im gonna take the time to make a blog about the whole event tomorrow, but for now Im still looking through the 1300 pics I took. I did however, have to put these up right away. Make sure to open the last pic full size and look at the facial expressions on the faces of the lookers-on, Classic. Enjoy, and check back soon for a full post about the event.

Well we havent started making the violator and comm. boards yet because our vendors havent gotten us the top and base graphics yet but we expect them in the next week or two.  One of the downfalls of getting everything made in New England is that we have to get new vendors up to speed, and most of them have never made snowboard components before. We did make a few boards this weekend for the rail jam though, and they came out awesome. We’re gonna have them ridden in the rail jam and some others on display so come check em out. Here are some pics from this weekends build.

Come see our tent at the rail jam at Underground Snowboard Shop on Comm. Ave on Saturday September 20th. The event is part of a tour with Sparks and Upper Playground artists, so they’ll be painting and we’ll be jibbing.  Check it out.
