When Good Monkeys Go Bad!

December 19th, 2008

Hey Everyone,

First off I want to thank everyone that came out to either of the events this weekend. We had some pretty die hard kids hang out the whole day and hit the rails even though half the state didnt have power and it was bitter cold. Obviously key to staying warm is not wearing loose clothing and conserving body heat….

Greta gets her new Comm

After the rail jam we packed up ODB (’Ol Dirty Bus) aka Fryolator and headed up North. We got to where were staying, funneled some beers, watched Grandmas Boy and headed to Bed around 2:30am. After a spot of shut eye we rose at 5:30 to head to Okemo for our first ever demo day. The whole day went sick and thanks to everyone who tried out a Bean and gave us some great feedback.

Before we had left for the trip we had packed up the guerilla suit (left over from Halloween a few years back). We didnt know what we’d do with it but we knew it’d have to come in handy somehow, right? Well after things slowed and we packed everything up Patrick was buzzed enough to suit up and hit the park. I guess everything that precipitated after this is kind of my fault. I was supposed to get him a board set up while he was changing in to the suit. I took about a half hour to get the board set up and in the mean time he worked on a jug of Jenkens Amaretto, yikes. Once the guerillas gear was ready we headed for the park. The whole way the guerilla went after little kids he like he was in a daffy duck costume at disney, not remembering this particular guerilla suit has fangs and blood coming out of his mouth, oh well….

After some shredding the monkey went loose on the poor townspeople, sucking blood and drinking pabst out of their taps.

Once we got the filthy animal back on the bus he ran out of steam, must have been all the tranquilizer…

I coudlnt even include pics from most of the debauchery, holy s what a weekend.

Hey All,

Just wanted to let everyone know that some Bean gear is available at a few choice shops now, just in time for the holidays.

Apparel is available at LAB in Allston. LAB is a truly unique store, with all kinds of apparel, artwork, vinyl toys, and records. Thanks to Todd and Kim of LAB for supporting Bean.

Apparel and a few boards are also available at East Coast Skate and Snow in Merrimack, NH. East Coast was just opened by our friend Kevin. Thanks Kevin for supporting Bean and shaving your flavor saver.

I should also mention we are having a rail jam at East Coast on Dec. 13th @ Noon for their Grand Opening, so come by and eat some concrete and check out the shop.

Launch Party/Expo

November 25th, 2008

Hey Everyone,

Thanks to everyone who came out and stopped by the booth at the Expo, especially the peeps that signed up for the mailing list. The response was huge and we were so glad to hear people are stoked on the idea of a Boston-based snowboard company. To celebrate the launch, we’re having a party at Good Life on Dec. 6th. Check out the details below.

Also, congratulations to Mike Smith, the winner of the free board from the expo raffle.
